Tyco's Patent Counterclaims Ordered Into New Case

Law360 (August 3, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A healthcare unit of conglomerate Tyco International Inc. that’s facing an antitrust lawsuit has failed to keep its patent-infringement counterclaims from being split into a separate case.

The ruling from the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas was a mid-proceeding victory for plaintiff Genico Inc., which filed the suit against Tyco and Johnson & Johnson in October 2004.
