Lumenis, Syneron Settle Medical Patent Lawsuits

Law360, New York (January 21, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- Israeli pharmaceutical companies Lumenis Ltd. and Syneron Medical Ltd. settled their U.S. and Israeli litigation over patents for the use of incoherent light in aesthetic and medical applications, the two companies said Wednesday.

Under the terms of the agreement, Lumenis will grant Syneron unlimited non-exclusive worldwide licenses for Lumenis patents relating to the use of incoherent light in aesthetic and medical applications, including all of its Intense Pulsed Light related patents.
