CORRECTION: Actavis To Halt Production At 3 Plants

Law360 (December 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Generic-drug maker Actavis Group has reached an agreement with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to halt production at three of its U.S. subsidiary's plants until the facilities are upgraded to meet the agency's manufacturing regulations.

The Iceland-based pharmaceutical company said Monday the consent decree effectively settled the issues identified by the U.S. Department of Justice, which filed a lawsuit in November over the manufacturing practices at the New Jersey plants of subsidiary Actavis Totowa LLC.
