Volvo Seeks Court OK For Retiree Benefit Changes

Law360, New York (January 5, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Truck maker Volvo Group North America Inc. has filed a declaratory judgment suit against a labor union asking a federal court for a green light to restructure retiree health care benefits, a move the company says comes against the backdrop of rising medical coverage costs and severe financial difficulties in the heavy truck industry.
