Obama Names 1st Female SG, Other Top DOJ Posts

Law360, New York (January 5, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- President-elect Barack Obama announced four new appointments to the U.S. Department of Justice on Monday, choosing the nation's first female solicitor general and tapping partners from WilmerHale LLP and Jenner & Block LLP for other key posts.

Obama plans to nominate Harvard Law School Dean Elena Kagan for solicitor general, WilmerHale partner David Ogden for deputy attorney general, Jenner & Block partner Tom Perrelli for associate attorney general and Indiana University law professor Dawn Johnsen for assistant attorney general for the Office of Legal Counsel....
