Law360, New York (July 14, 2016, 8:08 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania appeals court on Thursday refused to disturb a decision dismissing challenges raised by three Cumberland County landowners to a Sunoco Inc. unit's efforts to condemn property along the route of its Mariner East 2 pipeline project, finding that it obtained a state regulator's blessing to exercise eminent domain.
The Commonwealth Court's opinion upholds an order issued by Cumberland County Court of Common Pleas Judge Edward Guido, who in September overruled preliminary objections by the three groups of landowners to Sunoco Pipeline LP's two pipelines that make up Mariner East 2, which are together part of a larger $3 billion...
