ITC Judge Rethinks Ruling In MP3 Patent Dispute

Law360 (August 4, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After a year of unfavorable decisions, Actions Semiconductor Co. has received a boost from the U.S. International Trade Commission in its drawn-out patent infringement battle with SigmaTel over MP3 player technology.

On Friday, Actions revealed that the ITC has issued a determination reversing an earlier infringement ruling regarding one of the patents at the heart of the intellectual property lawsuit.
