Fed. Circ. Puts Nail In Suit Against Verizon, GM

Law360 (January 7, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal appeals court has upheld a Wisconsin judge's decision to grant summary judgment to defendants General Motors Corp. and Verizon Wireless in a suit brought by patent-holding company Vehicle IP LLC over a mobile navigation system patent.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit handed down an opinion affirming Judge Barbara Crabb's March 2008 decision to grant summary judgment to the defendants on VIP's infringement claims.
