Coin Acceptors Hit Law Firms With Malpractice Suit

Law360, New York (January 7, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Coin Acceptors Inc., a manufacturer of coin and bill handling equipment that is used around the world, has filed a legal malpractice lawsuit against two St. Louis law firms that allegedly mishandled a patent case that cost the coin machine company at least $25 million.

Coin Acceptors, or Coinco, filed the suit against Haverstock Garrett & Roberts LLP, Polster Lieder Woodruff & Lucchesi LC and two individual lawyers on Dec. 31 in the Missouri Circuit Court, accusing them of breaching the required standard of care by...
