Kuwait Says It Didn't Violate Dow Agreement

Law360, New York (January 8, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- In response to the threat of legal action by Dow Chemical Co., the Kuwaiti government said this week that it is confident a decision by the the country's petroleum authority to pull out of a $17 billion joint chemical-manufacturing venture between Dow and a state-owned Kuwaiti company did not violate any agreement with Dow.
