Appeals Court Sends NRG Case Back To Minnesota

Law360 (August 7, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has reversed a Minnesota district court’s dismissal of a proposed injunction against NRG Energy Inc. that sought to bar the company from disseminating allegedly misleading market information.

The U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota agreed with NRG’s argument that the Minnesota court lacked jurisdiction because of NRG’s Chapter 11 case in federal bankruptcy court in Manhattan.
