NY Insurance Head Plans New Push For Exchange

Law360 (January 14, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- New York Insurance Superintendent Eric Dinallo is reportedly gearing up his ongoing campaign to reopen the now-defunct New York Insurance Exchange.

The superintendent has been publicly promoting his plan to revive the New York Insurance Exchange since early last year, after first floating the idea in 2007. At an industry forum on Tuesday, Dinallo told Reuters he's ready to renew the push, noting that work on the plan was delayed temporarily by the subprime mortgage meltdown.
