AOL, Playboy Settle Trademark Dispute

Law360, New York (January 24, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- America Online settled a trademark dispute with Playboy Enterprises Inc. on Thursday, just days after a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals reinstated Playboy’s lawsuit.

Both companies refused to disclose the terms of the settlement.

Last week, the appeals court remanded the case to the U.S. District court, arguing that the lower court had erred in deciding against the adult entertainment company.
