By Matthew Bultman (August 29, 2016, 4:39 PM EDT) -- Last week was a busy one for the National Labor Relations Board, which touched on everything from graduate students' union efforts to the formula used for worker back pay awards in a flurry of decisions before one of its members stepped down.

Board member Kent Hirozawa's term expired Saturday, and, as was expected, the labor board kicked things into overdrive, churning out a number of decisions before he left. By the end of the week, the board had published decisions in over 20 cases.

And when the dust settled, it ended up being a good week for the labor side....
