Coca-Cola Sued Over VitaminWater Health Claims

Law360 (January 15, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A consumer health advocacy group has filed a lawsuit against Coca-Cola Co. alleging that the drink maker misleads consumers about the nutritional benefits of its popular VitaminWater beverage.

The Center for Science in the Public Interest filed a class action lawsuit on Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on behalf of plaintiff James Koh and all other Californians who have purchased VitaminWater because of its purported nutritional value.
