Antitrust Suit Over $25B Tobacco Deal Snuffed

Law360, New York (January 15, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A district court judge has tossed a long-running lawsuit by two cigarette importers, Freedom Holdings Inc. and International Tobacco Partners Ltd., claiming that a $25 billion settlement between the big four tobacco makers and 46 states is anti-competitive.
