Gore Suit Over Al Jazeera Fee Advancement Rights Settled

Law360, New York (September 1, 2016, 7:25 PM EDT) -- Former Current TV executives Al Gore and Joel Hyatt settled a lawsuit against Al Jazeera over fee advancement and indemnification rights related to a fight over a $65 million escrow account created when the Qatar-based news network purchased Current, according to a stipulation and proposed order filed Thursday in Delaware Chancery Court.

Under the settlement, Hyatt will be able to get his legal fees paid if he prevails in the underlying suit over the disputed escrow account. Gore is no longer part of the suit, according to Hyatt's attorney Richard P. Rollo of Richards Layton & Finger PA.
