SDNY Cybercrime Chief Joins Sullivan & Cromwell

Law360, New York (September 6, 2016, 8:09 PM EDT) -- Sullivan & Cromwell LLP has added the Southern District of New York’s former chief of its complex frauds and cybercrime unit as special counsel in its litigation group, the firm announced on Tuesday.

Nicole Friedlander, who spent nine years at the U.S. Attorney’s office in the district, will focus on criminal defense, government investigations and cybersecurity. While at the Southern District of New York, she oversaw the investigation and prosecution of sophisticated financial crimes, cybercrimes, money laundering, international tax offenses, health care fraud, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and Bank Secrecy Act cases, the firm said.
