Lehman Wins Examiner Over Trustee Protests

Law360, New York (January 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Dismissing the U.S. trustee's objection, the bankruptcy judge overseeing the Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc.'s bankruptcy has opted to appoint an examiner in the collapsed investment bank's Chapter 11 case.

On Friday, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge James Peck signed off on the request originally brought by Walt Disney Co. back in October, ruling that Anton R. Valukas should be assigned as an examiner in the case.
