PCA Sued As Recalls Mount Over Salmonella

Law360 (January 21, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Peanut Corp. of America has been hit with a lawsuit by a couple whose son became sick from salmonella-tainted peanut butter, as the long list of companies yanking their food off store shelves continues to grow.

The child, Christopher Meunier, suffered from fever, painful and bloody diarrhea and vomiting and was hospitalized for several days after eating peanut butter that originated from PCA, his parents claim in a complaint lodged Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia.
