Modavox Hits AOL, Time Warner With IP Action

Law360 (January 26, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Online media distribution company Modavox Inc. is going after Time Warner Inc., expanding a prior trademark claim to include allegations the media giant infringes patents related to targeted Internet advertising software.

The complaint, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, alleges Platform-A, Time Warner subsidiary AOL LLC’s Internet advertising arm, uses technology protected by two patents assigned to Modavox.
