Indian Police Arrest PwC Auditors In Satyam Probe

Law360, New York (January 26, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Indian police have arrested two partners with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP who worked for Satyam Computer Services Ltd., less than two weeks after authorities took the brothers who co-founded the troubled outsourcing company into custody after one brother's admission to massive accounting fraud.

The Andhra Pradesh state police department decided to arrest the two auditors Friday evening after questioning. They were set to appear before an Indian court Saturday evening, a spokesman for the department told Reuters.
