Customers Want Refco To Pick Up Legal Tab

Law360, New York (August 10, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Contending that their work set the stage for a multi-billion dollar settlement, approximately two dozen Refco Inc. customers said Wednesday that they want the bankrupt brokerage to pick up $4.3 million in attorneys’ fees.

The customers said that they made a “substantial contribution” to Refco’s Chapter 11 case when they sued the company and when they distinguished their rights from those of other Refco creditors.
