Bulk Of Antitrust Claims Against Resin Co. Remain

Law360, New York (January 27, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has refused to dismiss the majority of monopoly claims resin manufacturer DSM Desotech Inc. has alleged against rival 3D Systems Corp. in an antitrust and patent infringement suit but agreed to drop DSM's illegal tying claims without prejudice.

Judge Joan H. Lefkow of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois ruled Monday that DSM had not sufficiently pled its allegations of illegal tying under the Sherman and Clayton acts to withstand 3DS' motion to dismiss.
