Telesis, Insurer Spar Over Lead Paint Coverage

Law360, New York (January 27, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A Washington, D.C., housing developer has fired back at the Fireman's Fund Insurance Co. for refusing to indemnify it in a lawsuit over a tenant's lead-poisoning suit, saying the insurance contract didn't contain an exclusion for lead paint.

On Monday, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, developer Telesis Corp. and two of its affiliated businesses asked the judge to force FFIC to pay the court costs and settlement or damages related to its lead paint litigation.
