Rohm & Haas Slaps Dow Over Merger Delay

Law360 (January 27, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- After Dow Chemical Co. announced it would not complete its acquisition of Rohm and Haas Co. by Tuesday, the specialty chemical manufacturer accused its putative buyer of violating the companies' merger agreement and of seeking to delay regulatory approval of the $18.8 billion deal in order to avoid closing within two days.
