P&G, Roche Sue Sun Over Generic Actonel ANDA

Law360 (January 27, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Procter & Gamble Co. and Hoffmann-La Roche Inc. have filed a lawsuit accusing generic-drug maker Sun Pharma Global Inc. of infringing a patent related to the dosage formula for a once-a-month version of the companies' osteoporosis treatment Actonel.

P&G and Roche lodged their complaint against Sun on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, accusing Sun of infringing the patent, titled “Method of treatment using bisphosphonic acid,” in seeking U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval to make a generic version of Actonel....
