Animal Feed Co. Sues Chinese Distributor For Fake Product

By Rick Archer (October 4, 2016, 3:47 PM EDT) -- A California specialty animal feed maker told a California court Friday that its distributor of the feed in China has been passing locally made feed as its own in counterfeit packaging.

Vitech Bio-Chem Corp. claimed California corporation VBC Peptide Inc., was developing counterfeit, Chinese-manufactured livestock feed even while it was negotiating an exclusive distribution deal with Vitech in late 2014.

According to the complaint in 2012 Peptide and its principal, Bilian Wang, proposed setting up a Chinese subsidiary, Peptide Zhuhai, to repackage and distribute Vitech's Vita-M Pac 2000 livestock feed for sale. The complaint claimed in 2014 Vitech discovered its sales...
