Antitrust Division To Release 100 Amnesty Letters

Law360, New York (January 28, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Justice's Antitrust Division has agreed to release 100 redacted amnesty letters to shipping company Stolt-Nielsen Transportation Group Ltd. as part of a settlement that puts to rest the two parties' long-running Freedom of Information Act dispute.

Under the settlement approved late Monday by Judge Richard Leon in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the Antitrust Division will provide Stolt-Nielsen with a copy of each of the 100 amnesty letters it has issued between 1993 and 2005 that are the...
