Chinese Crane Co. Denies Trade Secrets Theft In ITC Appeal

Law360, Washington (October 5, 2016, 3:29 PM EDT) -- A Chinese heavy machinery company blasted a U.S. International Trade Commission ruling that it misappropriated trade secrets from Wisconsin-based Manitowoc Cranes LLC, telling the Federal Circuit on Wednesday that the purported trade secrets were already available to the public and in no way confidential.

Sany Heavy Industry Co. Ltd. told the three-judge panel that it put substantial evidence before the ITC showing that the allegedly misappropriated crane technology was publicly available.
