SAP, Accenture Lose Bid For Fees In Wellogix IP Row
By Melissa Daniels (October 7, 2016, 6:54 PM EDT) -- Neither software firm SAP America Inc. nor consulting company Accenture LLP deserve to win attorneys' fees after beating trade secret claims from oil and gas company software developer Wellogix Inc., a Texas federal judge ruled on Friday, ending a business partnership and intellectual property battle that began more than a decade ago.
Wellogix first took action against SAP and Accenture for trade secret infringement after it claims it got blocked out of a software partnership deal. But SAP later sought to invalidate Wellogix patents, and Wellogix then filed counterclaims in March 2014. SAP successfully shook the suit in November 2014....
