Judge to Rule Next Week on Move to Block Disney Film

Law360, New York (October 17, 2003, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Chief U.S. District Judge Joe B. McDade said Thursday he would rule next week on Caterpillar's attempt to halt the distribution of Walt Disney's "George of the Jungle 2," newswires reported.

Caterpillar claims the film infringes its trademarks and will damage its reputation. The maker of heavy equipment is seeking a temporary restraining order to block the direct-to-DVD release of the film, which it claims portrays the company as hostile to the environment.
