Reinsurer Battle To Go On In Student Health Suit

Law360 (January 29, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has refused to dismiss in its entirety a suit brought by a company that sells health insurance to college students and its reinsurer against another reinsurer in a dispute over the payment of excess coverage claims.

U.S. District Judge Rebecca Pallmyer of the Northern District of Illinois on Wednesday granted a motion by American United Life Insurance Co. to dismiss a third-party complaint against it by First Student Programs LLC.
