New ICSID Cases Dropped Last Year, But Caseload Still High

Law360, New York (October 14, 2016, 9:27 PM EDT) -- The International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes registered 45 new cases in the last fiscal year, down from the record 52 new cases the year before, but still enough to push the total number of cases being administered to a new high of 247, the arbitration organization said.

The number of cases concluded at ICSID between July 2015 and June 2016 also dropped from the year before, from 53 to 51, according to an annual report released Oct. 7.
