DOJ, Anheuser-InBev Battle Plaintiffs Over Merger

Law360, New York (January 30, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Anheuser-Busch InBev NV/SA and federal prosecutors are objecting to the efforts of a group of Missouri beer drinkers to intervene in the government's case requiring divestitures in the beer companies' $52 billion merger.

Ten beer drinkers suing the company formerly known as InBev NV/SA for its takeover of the St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc. are seeking to stay the government's case in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
