Grasso's Lawyers Look To Appeal Judge's Decision

Law360, New York (August 11, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Not happy with what they call “the state’s transparent attempt to avoid having a jury” hear Dick Grasso’s case of executive overcompensation, lawyers for the former NYSE chairman said Friday that they will appeal the judge’s decision to hold a bench trial.

The trial, focused on whether Grasso’s pay had been reasonable, amongst other claims, would start on Oct. 16. New York Supreme Court Justice Charles Ramos issued a formal written decision on Thursday, two days after he announced it at a court hearing.
