Judge Sanctions Retiree Committee In Dana Case

Law360 (August 11, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Seeking to protect retiree interests, a federal judge has instructed the U.S. Trustee assigned to Dana Corp’s bankruptcy case to form an official committee comprised of the auto supplier’s former workers.

On Friday, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Burton Lifland aimed to give the retirees a voice in the company’s bankruptcy proceedings, given that the group is not covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
