BSC Accuses SciCo Of Evidence Tampering

Law360 (February 3, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Boston Scientific Corp. has moved to dismiss a catheter patent infringement lawsuit on the grounds that the plaintiff in the case, SciCo Tec GmbH, willfully tampered with an important piece of evidence.

In an emergency motion for sanctions filed Monday with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Boston Scientific accused SciCo of cutting open a Piccolino Monorail catheter, which was to be shown at trial, and then removing part of a wire inside.
