Law360 (February 4, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Scores of plaintiffs suing over Brazil’s deadliest airline crash have settled with TAM Airlines and the plane’s lessor, Pegasus Aviation IV Inc., and intend to direct their claims against the companies that manufactured the plane and its components.
An attorney working on the case said the "vast majority" of the plaintiffs in the 76 wrongful death suits asked Judge Marcia G. Cooke of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida to dismiss TAM Airlines and Pegasus from the lawsuits.
