Mo. Plaintiffs Kept Out Of DOJ's AB-InBev Case

Law360 (February 4, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A group of Missouri beer drinkers seeking to block InBev NV/SA's $52 billion takeover of Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc. will not be allowed to intervene in the federal government's case requiring divestitures in the deal, a federal judge has ruled.

Judge James Robertson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on Tuesday denied a bid from the Missouri plaintiffs to get involved in the case, stating they would have “ample opportunity” to place their objections on the public record as the case proceeds....
