Law360, New York (November 7, 2016, 9:14 PM EST) -- A Maryland jury handed SPX Cooling Technologies Inc. a victory on Friday in a patent infringement lawsuit brought by a rival manufacturer who was seeking almost $18 million in damages, in a case over heat exchanger technology used in industrial cooler systems.
Following a two-week trial in federal court in Baltimore, jurors found two claims in Baltimore Aircoil Co. Inc.’s patent were invalid, based on a previous invention from SPX Cooling. The jury found SPX did not infringe the other two claims that were at issue.
