Contribution Claims Tossed In Arrow CERCLA Suit

Law360, New York (February 5, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has ruled that earlier settlements in environmental litigation arising from the pollution of an industrial park outside Chicago will prevent Illinois industrial-gear manufacturer Arrow Gear Co. from pursuing contribution claims for the cleanup.

Judge John W. Darrah of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois last week granted summary judgment to several defendants, finding that the company's claims had already been dismissed with prejudice in the earlier litigation.
