Bankruptcy Panel Can't Hear Petition, En Banc 9th Circ. Says

Law360, Los Angeles (November 9, 2016, 6:21 PM EST) -- An en banc panel on the Ninth Circuit on Wednesday said a special appellate panel formed to hear bankruptcy appeals did not have jurisdiction to consider a debtor’s request for an exceptional order to reopen a years-old case because he had not followed proper procedure.
