Werner Creditors Demand Financial Documents

Law360, New York (August 14, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The unsecured creditors of Werner Holdings Co. have demanded access to the bankrupt ladder company documents, and they will not take no for an answer.

The unsecured creditors committee has asked a bankruptcy court to force the company to hand over inside information, including minutes from board meetings, presentations by financial advisers, financial analysis, and complaints filed.

The committee claims that it has repeatedly asked for the documents in order to better evaluate the company’s finances and to develop a restructuring strategy.
