Dreier Under House Arrest After Release From Jail

Law360 (February 5, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has allowed New York attorney Marc Dreier, who is accused of defrauding investors and clients out of about $400 million, to move from jail to house arrest.

Judge Jed Rakoff of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Thursday lifted the $10 million cash or $20 million bond bail a magistrate judge last month imposed on Dreier, founder of Dreier LLP, according to Dreier's lawyer, Gerald Shargel.
