Finoc Sues Cisco, 14 Others Over Broadband Patent

Law360, New York (February 6, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A Finnish electronics design consulting firm has filed a lawsuit against a slew of technology companies, including Cisco Systems Inc., Netgear Inc., Motorola Inc. and 3Com Corp., alleging that the companies have infringed a broadband data transmission patent.

Finoc Design Consulting Oy filed the suit Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, alleging that 15 named defendants have infringed U.S. Patent Number 6,850,560, titled “Data transmission method, terminal equipment and data transmission system.”
