US Hires Cadwalader, Sonnenschein On Auto Crisis

Law360 (February 6, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- With Chryler LLC and General Motors Corp. receiving more than $13 billion in bailout funds from the federal government, the U.S. Department of the Treasury has retained Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft LLP and Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP to help regulators consider how to reorganize the struggling auto manufacturers.

The government hired Cadwalader "to advise on restructuring of U.S. automakers," according to the firm.

Meanwhile, four Sonnenschein partners are representing the Treasury Department "in ongoing matters related to the 2008-2009 developments within the U.S. automobile industry,"...
