DHS Issues Final Job Flexibility Rule For Immigrant Workers

Law360, New York (November 17, 2016, 2:37 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security issued a final rule Thursday aimed at boosting job flexibility for certain skilled immigrant workers, releasing the regulation with just enough time for it to go into effect before President Barack Obama leaves office.

The rule, which has been one of the most hotly anticipated regulations for the business immigration community this year, was released in its preview version Thursday. It will officially be published Friday in the Federal Register, allowing the regulation to take effect on Jan. 17.
