Collins & Aikman’s Creditors Request Investigation

Law360, New York (August 15, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The creditors committee for Collins & Aikman Corp. is looking to investigate Ford Motor Co. and General Electric Capital Corp. for tortuous interference of contract with regard to the bankrupt auto parts supplier’s Hermosillo plant.

In a motion filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Detroit, the official committee of unsecured creditors asked a judge for permission to conduct an examination and obtain documents from Ford Motor Co., General Electric Capital Corp. and its subsidiary GE Mexico.
