GM Could Buy Plants From Bankrupt Delphi

Law360 (February 9, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- General Motors Corp. is reportedly mulling a move to snatch up a few of auto supplier Delphi Corp.'s factories in an attempt to take a little pressure off its former subsidiary, which continues to languish in bankruptcy.

On Monday, the Associated Press reported that GM and Delphi had been engaged in negotiations over several Delphi plants, citing a person familiar with the matter.

The talks purportedly started a few weeks ago and remain private, according to the AP's anonymous source.
